Summary in English

Vestresand og omegn grendelag is a non-profit organization, a community of volunteers and neighbors who have a common interest to do the best for their neighborhood. There is some 200 properties in the area, with 60 housing for around 90 permanent residents and some 110 holiday homes or cabins. The rest is commercial building or other types.

The grendelag is run by a board put together by residents. There is two main tasks, first; to work for the common and best interests of the area we cover, and secondly; make sure the "Ungdomshuset" is kept in a good shape and to manage rentals etc.

We do a lot for the people of our area every year and there is hundreds of hours put into volunteer work. A lot of the work we do cost money and therefore we have this small yearly fee we ask the residents and holiday home owners to pay. We also have some that chooses to sponsor us with extra money, which we really appreciate. It's a great motivation for those that put a lot of hours into working for you all!
